There’s no better gift for a grandparent or any loved one than your undivided time and attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the most profound concepts I’ve learned recently involves reshaping how one thinks about time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesse Itzler, who wrote Living with a SEAL: 31 Days Training with the Toughest Man on the Planet<\/a>, wrote a second book about living with monks for 15 days. During an interview with Joe Rogan<\/a>, he shared one of the outcomes of his journey:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My parents are 88, ok? I have a good relationship with my parents … they live in Florida. Let’s say my parents live to be 92. I hope they live longer, but let’s say they live 5 years.

I don’t have 5 years<\/em><\/strong> left with my parents. I see my parents twice a year. That means I have 10 visits<\/em><\/strong> with my parents. So when I started to look at shit like that, I made significant changes.

Like, ok, I’m gonna get on my plane and see my parents and when I’m in those moments, my feet are on the ground. That’s where I am. Because I have a limited amount of time with them. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
